Seni Adio, Esq., LL.B (Hons.), LL.M Taxation, BL is the Managing Partner of COPLEY PARTNERS, Lagos, Nigeria. He is a Legal Practitioner of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, as well as an Attorney-at-Law in the United States of America admitted to practice in the State of New York and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.Notably, before returning to Nigeria, Seni practiced law at the law firm, MINTZ LEVIN, in Boston, Massachusetts, where he achieved the remarkable feat of becoming a Member (Partner). While in the United States, he represented multinational publicly-held conglomerates and private companies on various matters, including Banking and Finance, Complex Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution; Fiduciary Law and Corporate Governance; Public Procurement Law and Infrastructure Development; Legislative and Regulatory Matters before the United States Congress; Tax Abatement; Intellectual Property Law; Internet Technology and Security; and Insurance. While at MINTZ LEVIN, he served in various leadership capacities, including as a member of the Hiring Committee....Since returning to Nigeria, Seni has been involved in various landmark matters including legislative, dispute resolution and transactional. These have include providing counsel with respect to an Executive Bill and testifying before the National Assembly in support of same, which became enacted as the National Lottery Act 2004; appearing as lead counsel and successfully arguing a constitutional matter before the Federal High Court which declared as unlawful and unconstitutional and enjoined the use of the Armed Forces to monitor General Elections under a democratic dispensation; and as transactional counsel to the developer in a complex public, private, partnership (PPP) real estate mixed-use development project.

Seni has provided commentaries on issues of business, law, and racial diversity to various multimedia outfits, including the Associated Press (AP), CBS Marketwatch, the Boston Magazine and the Washington, DC based Metropolitan Corporate Counsel Magazine. He is active in civic organizations, and has served as a Trustee or Director on the Boards of various non-profit institutions in the academic, healthcare, economic-empowerment, and ecumenical spheres. He has also been a speaker at numerous international conferences and seminars, including the American Bar Association Annual Meeting; The U.S. Department of Commerce *PTI* Conference; and The Harvard Business School Africa Business Conference. He is a member of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Member of the Governing Council and Secretary of the Executive Committee of the NBA Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL), and Chairman of the Committee on Consumer Protection and Products Liability Law of the NBA-SBL. He also served as a Member of the Committee on the Review of the Constitution of the NBA, which amongst other reforms, introduced e-voting for elections into National Offices.

Seni is a member of other various professional organisations, and also an alumnus of the Boston Chapter of the prestigious National Conference for Community and Justice (“NCCJ”). He obtained his Bachelor of Laws with honours (LL.B Hons.) from The University of Buckingham, United Kingdom and his Master of Laws (LL.M Taxation) from Boston University School of Law, Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He enjoys running and completed two Boston Marathons.
