Abiodun Adeoye; MD ConSol, speaks on the Telecomms Industry; challenges and the way forward

(24th June, 2015): Mr. Abiodun Adeoye, MD ConSol, spoke with Bode Adewunmi of the Nigerian Tribune on the challenges facing the Telecoms industry. According to Mr. Adeoye, Irregular power supply is the major constraint facing the Telecoms industry. He explained that the cost of running on generators is the major cause of costly services, rendered to the public. He spoke on the benefits of outsourcing (ConSol's core competence) highlighting that "outsourcing allows you to focus on your core business and achieve core savings & efficiency in which ever business area you choose to outsource". Mr Adeoye stressed that government policies had to be tweaked to encourage growth in the Telecom's industry and that broadband was the " next big thing" and had to be developed in Nigeria
